Issued on June 6, 1991, the United States Postal Service promoted its sponsorship of the 1992 U.S. Olympic team with this "domestic express mail stamp." The high face value of this stamp met the rate for overnight 8-ounce delivery to anywhere in the U.S. The stamp design features a Bald Eagle and the Olympic Rings. The 1992 Summer Olympic Games were held in Barcelona, Spain.
